Happy New Year all,
The 2019 season is only a lob wedge away. The Men’s Club is keeping the same registration structure as last year. If you choose to pre-pay, the cost is $200.00 which covers all the Men’s club tournaments (with a few exceptions) along with the wind up banquet dinner. If you would like to also enter the Match Play which is limited to the first 32 players please make your payment for $225. Please make annual payment to myself or Ken Nishi. We accept cash, cheque (payable to M.G. Mens club) or you can e-transfer the payment to (kennishi@shaw.ca). Should you choose to pay as you go, the cost remains at $15.00 for one day tournaments and $25.00 for two day tournaments but remember you must be an annual member to qualify for the Glentel/Shaw Media Cup competitions. Intermediate members can play with the men’s club during the off peak season which usually runs to the end of May and starts again around late September, correlating with the punching of the greens and tee boxes.
Our 2019 schedule is now posted with the first tournament set for Sunday the 3rd day of February. For those who are new to Meadow Gardens, you can peruse the Mens club web site www.mgmensclub.com for further details. Please browse to the bottom of the home page and enter your e-mail address in the follow by e-mail field to be notified of new Men’s Club information automatically by e-mail.
The Men’s Club paid out $17,000 in prize money along with a few thousand in draw prizes for the 2018 season. All Men’s club prizing is accounted for on a cost, not retail basis and all collected funds are dispersed to members. Financial statements were provided to the playing membership, accounting for the dues, donations and payouts for the year. I am hoping to keep a similar standard for the 2019 season, so the clanging sound you hear is the bucket I am tossing into the well. I am not a big fan of going to the well, however, I need the help this year. If anyone would be able to sponsor the Men’s club this year, please shoot me an email michaeljyamamoto@hotmail.com
