Chris Begg had perhaps, the best two-hour run of making the winning hand on the river card that I have ever seen! He was unbeatable yesterday.
The Men’s Club feels that it is about time that those playing anything with Minto start to benefit from some of his luck. Earlier in the day, Mike Yamamoto hit a drive into the evergreen on the left side of the 5th hole which repelled the ball like an umbrella into the rough for a clear shot. Mike also finished 2nd in poker. Now that Minto has to assume the role of Grand Master, in Gord Lee’s absence, we must consider the possibility that the several year streak of luck may be passed on to his playing partners… the question is, who will be the new pebble snatcher?
