The wind howled, and we all watched helplessly as Steve Coppin’s golf cart rolled down the bunker embankment and tumbled into the water hazard surrounding the ninth green. After extricating the cart and clubs from the water Steve realized his phone was missing. Without any hesitation Steve proclaimed ” I’m going in! ” With that said, off came the shoes, socks and pants. Stripped down to his tighty blackies and under the watchful supervision of Mike Yamamoto , Steve lowered himself crotch deep into the ice cold slew. Lady Luck was smiling and he recovered his prized possession within seconds. As Michael helped Steve out of the icy water hazard and up into the safety of the bunker, Steve chattered out the immortal words. “Jeez, that water was a lot colder than I ever imagined but I got my phone !!! .” Nice job Steve. Never a dull moment at Meadow gardens.
