The Men’s Club Spring Open for 2021 is done. The weather held out for us and we all stayed dry for both days.

For those who chose to play from the white tees . Kim Fordyce finished 3rd low Gross for the two day event. Gord Lee vaulted into 2nd place Low gross with a good second round score of 82 for an over all total of 167. The Low Gross Champion from the white tees with a score of 164 was Joe Guzzo. Joe shot the low round of the day with a gross score of 81.

Congratulations Joe well done and full marks for the win.

The Low net portion of the Spring Open white tee event was hotly contested. In the end Brad Scott edged into 3rd place with a net score of 151. Glen Tanaka had a lock on second place with a 2 day total of 146. The Low Net Champion for 2021 Spring Open White Tee event was none other than the well dressed Sad Thiera. Sad carded two rounds of net 71 for a two day total of 142.

Well done Sad your middle name should be Consistency.

For the Championship flight from the blue tees the Low Net side of the event produced a tightly contested race. Chris Begg edged out Fred Beck. Both were tied with a net score of 151 but Chris moved into second place by retrogression leaving Fred Beck in 3rd. The Low Net Champion from the blue tees for 2021 is Michael Uhm. Michael played a great round of golf on Saturday shooting a gross score of 74 and a net score of 70. Michael finished the two day event with a net overall score of 149 beating Chris Begg and Fred Beck by two shots.

Mr. Uhm you are a force to be reckoned with.

Finally the Championship flight Low Gross division. Steve Rice Jones finished 3rd over all with a gross score of 160 for two days. Jordan Gould placed 2nd shooting a two day total score of 154 finishing just a few shots behind Kris Yardley. Kris carded a two day total score of 142 edging out the competition by a wisker.
