Fellas,
Great job today with PACE OF PLAY! Big shout out to the 1st 3 groups, all setting the pace and getting finished under 3 hours and 40 minutes. Our 1st group finished at 3 hours and 30 minutes and our last group of 18 golfers was finished at 4 hours and 20 minutes. This is 40-60 minutes better than our previous tournaments. That set the tone for the rest of the groups to keep up to the groups ahead. Saying that, if a Marshall talks to your group about speeding up, please do not argue your point about why you are behind. We ALL want to finish at a reasonable time, they are doing what we want.
Tomorrow’s 1st 3-4 groups need to set the pace again. There is no reason why we can’t replicate today’s PACE OF PLAY.
Reminders for tomorrow;
– Rake the bunkers if you step inside a bunker. This is mandatory and unacceptable if you do not!
– Fix YOUR ball mark and anyone else’s you see while on the greens.
– Keep each other accountable when it comes to PACE OF PLAY. Hit when ready ( if needed) and send players to next tee box after putting. Walk quicker between hits.
– All scorecards should be checked by playing partners and signed before handing them to scorekeepers.
– We will be downstairs in members lounge or patio beside members lounge collecting scorecards.
– 50/50 and Odyssey AI Putter raffle tickets will be available to buy tomorrow. We already have $150 in 50/50 monies from today. You can buy as many raffle tickets for the Odyssey AI putter as you want for $5 each. We had 24 tickets bought today. Pretty good odds to win a $600 putter.
