ABOUT THE EVENT
The East vs. West tournament is the only event at MG which members of the Men’s and Ladies’ Clubs compete together joined by other members who usually do not play in club tournaments. Players are divided into two teams and compete in either singles (men’s or ladies’) or fourball (mixed teams) match play.
It is a casual fun tournament and it’s all about playing with your fellow members and fund raising for a local charity! This year’s recipient is “Meals on Wheels – Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows”. There is no entry fee, only a voluntary charitable donation. Receipts for income tax purpose will be issued for donations of $20 or more. Door prizes and raffles are also being planned.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 26. Because of the limited tee time slots, the event is open only to members of MG. Entry deadline is Wednesday, June 9 because we have to inform Men’s and Ladies’ Club Captains and the Pro Shop the number of tee times to be set aside.
For members who have long supported this tournament, we thank you for your continuous interest and generosity, and for new members we welcome the opportunity to get to know you better and forge new friendships!
