A new tree on #16 in memory of Alec Clarke

On Thursday some Meadow Gardens Mens Club members and Alec’s partners in life and business were on hand for the planting of a new Western Red Cedar right of the tee box on hole #16. Alec’s business was cedar so the tree was very appropriate in his memory as well as the restoration of the right fairway guard which was blown over a couple of years back. The tree was purchased by the Mens Club from funds raised at last year’s Members Memorial Tournament. Thanks to Mike Yamamoto, Glenn Shapendonk and Ron Dunsire for making this happen. We will all think of Alec when we tee off on #16.

  1. Great to see the tree planted on #16 in memory of Alec but I always remember him clipping branches off a tree left of the blue tees on #15 followed by few choice words. He was a real fun guy to play with.
