The Shaw Glentel playoffs went ahead this weekend and for the first time in a few years there was a full compliment of players.
Everyone came to play and put their best game forward. In the end the tenacity of Sad Thiara and the effortless power of Kris Yardley proved to much to overcome.
Michael Uhm finished second on the Glentel side. Michael made a game of the match and finished 3 points back of Kris over two days. In par points 3 points is not much of a cushion and Kris had to stay focused for both rounds. Minto Roy finished third and Danny Koriath finished fourth.
For the Shaw side of things Sad Thiara built up a lead on Saturday and never looked back. Sad played as well as he dresses using Saturdays colors of pink and paisley as a spring board to the victory colors of purple and white. Glenn Tanaka finished second. Ron Dunsire and Victor Omaye tied for third. Ron had a putt for the win over Victor on 18 but the ball just slid by the hole. He can take solace in the fact he missed it on the high side.
The images below pretty much sums up the weekend play for all the players. Believe me all in good fun.
